		<description>I&#039;ll cut Pitino a little slack on his last press conference.  I think he was directly addressing the woman&#039;s statement that Pitino made some sort of threat about burying her in cement (or something like that).  If that truly is a lie, letting it sit out there without comment or rebuttal gives the statement credibility.

How many times have we heard of someone accused of something and they go quiet.  The assumption by the public is (almost) always that the person is guilty.  I find it a little refreshing to hear someone fighting back and not hiding behind lawyers.

The problem with Pitino&#039;s situation is not that he held the recent press conference, but rather than he was already caught in a lie on the topic when he initially denied all accusations.  So to me, his PR problems are not the number of conferences he holds, but rather the question of how truthful he is in them.
